Bilingual HND in Insurance

 The objective of this specialty is to train professionals who can sell insurance products, as well as perform duties of a technical, and managerial nature. Students are imparted with competencies on procedures for insurance subscription and indemnification of loss for companies and individuals. 

Objectives of the Program

The objective of the program is for the students to be able to do the following:

  •  Have sales and negotiation skills;
  • Master the legal framework of insurance;
  • Be apt in oral and written communication;
  • Understand the functioning of the insurance professional world;
  • Be capable of team leadership.

Understand Different Types of Insurance

Students upon graduation help businesses craft insurance strategies and select from the types of insurance, those that are inline with their objectives.

Craft and Implement effective Sales strategies

Students contribute to revenue generation by crafting B2B and direct sales strategies, tactics and actions

Provide Insurance Coaching

Students are taught to advise clients and propose to them insurance options that can best serve their personal and professional needs.

Carry Out Bench Marking

Through sales benchmarking, students learn how to determine reference points to compare their sales processes and performance against those of others so as to make improvements.

This will allow students to increase their knowledge of other cultures, compare work practices out of Cameroon and have a truly international perspective on the professional world.

Exchange And Cultural Visit

These visits take our students to local companies and cultural sites across the country. With over 185 different ethnic groups country wide, cultural visits teach lessons that classrooms can only fathom. Visits to palaces, historical sites, and monuments countrywide help students develop a better appreciation of the cultural riches of Cameroon. Company visits on the other hand helps students understand the work and professional ethics of companies in Cameroon. During such company visits, students build valuable employment network and interact with professionals who can shape their career choices.
