That is why FUNHIC is priviledged to run the first ever Agric Entrepreneurship conference, under the auspices of the ministry of Higher Éducation.
The minister agrees with FUNHIC that the strategy of the Agric Entrepreneurship Conference to combine Higher Education and Entrepreneurship training with skillful agricultural training Will not only lift the rural poor in Cameroon off the poverty threshhold, but Will ensure they are imbibed with the tools necessary To continue To scale through in the continuously changing and dynamic economic reality in Cameroon.
Hence, for the first time in Cameroon, Agric technicians and engineers, coaches, business men and women, entrepreneurs and Young farmers from Rural areas Will coexist in thesame room for 2 days to kick start the first phase of a process that Will change the way livestock farming and other forms of farming are done in Cameroon.
The objective of the conference is to create entrepreneurs and business men and women out of rural farmers. Hence, all 100 youths who receive this training Will receive a 100% scholarship to study a business program at FUNHIC, that Will ground them and equipe them with more indepth Business and Entrepreneurship skills To ensure survival and sustainability of their projects.
The Agric entrepreneur mentors assigned to the participants Will provide them with guidance and coaching for two years to help them brave the challenge of adapting to a fast changing digital economy.
