Social Manners, Etiquette and Personal Branding

The leadership course is designed to teach students good manners and provide them with practical guidelines to help them interact positively with other people, something which can add to their success in the world of work. Manners are what is customary for the time and may differ by culture, environment and generation. Students will be taught to pay attention and observe what others do to determine socially appropriate response

Students will also be helped to master how to brand themselves and stand out from their peers. Because personal branding is important for personal and professional success in today’s hyper connected world, students will be trained to create a compelling personal brand using traditional PR strategies and to manage their personal brand on social media and in person.

The course is a collaborative learning experience, which can be studied online or on-campus. The program is divided into six modules spread over 12 hours of study time:

  • Module 1: Social Manners and Etiquette
  • Module 2: Developing your Personal Brand
  • Module 3: Brand Identity Analysis
  • Module 4: Your Elevator Pitch
  • Module 5: Public Speaking
  • Module 6: Developing self-confidence and Personal Motivation

  • Company visits
  • Daily learning logs with weekly project plans and execution
  • Project-based Assignments
